FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How often should I restring my racket?
This very much depends on how often you play. As a ‘rule of thumb’ you should restring your racket same number of times you play per year to the number of times you play per week.
What about Tension?
Most rackets state on the frame the minimum and maximum string tension. Need More Power-then reduce tension Need More control-then increase string tension.
What If I suffer with tennis elbow?
Choose a ‘soft’ more forgiving string such as a Synthetic Gut or Multifilament
Need more Spin?
Choose a string with ‘edges’ or ‘rough’ to generate extra grip on the ball.

Our Tourna String Range
Synthetic Gut:
It is typically made of nylon and offers good all-round playability for the price.
Multi-filament:
Similar feel to natural gut string. They are made from hundreds of tiny fibres wound together. Much better feel than Synthetic Gut, Less vibration and longer lasting tension.
Polyester:
Poly’s are stiffer strings that offers control and spin.
Co-Poly:
Combination of polyester monofilament fibres with a softening chemical composition. This makes a Co-Poly string extremely elastic. Great for power and Spin without compromising control
Hybrid:
A hybrid string setup means that there are two different string materials used in the mains and the cross strings of the racket. The most popular hybrid setup is natural gut with polyester. This is for the player who wants power and control and spin.
